Services for the Elderly
When clients get older there is always a fear that they may lose capacity to make important decisions about their welfare or finance.
To assist elderly clients we draft lasting powers of attorney which allows in circumstances where they may lose capacity a deputy or deputies of their choice to step in and make decisions on their behalf. (find out more about powers of attorney)
Regrettably, some elderly people lose capacity before a lasting power of attorney can be drafted. For our clients who have an elderly relative or friend who had lost capacity we can make an application to the court of protection for a deputyship, which enables a deputy or deputies to be appointed by the court to make decisions on behalf that person.
